[00:00:00] Welcome again to A Christian Business Podcast.

[00:00:05] And we are joined again today by Andrew and Ariel Murray.

[00:00:10] If you caught yesterday's episode when it launched, then you are on the edge of

[00:00:16] your seat waiting for the business side of Andrew and Ariel's story.

[00:00:23] If you haven't listened to that episode, um, cause you didn't subscribe

[00:00:27] and get notified when it showed up, uh, like why wouldn't you then you need to

[00:00:33] stop right now and go back and listen to Andrew and Ariel Murray part one,

[00:00:40] and then come back and listen to this one.

[00:00:43] So we are going to dig in on the business side today and see what

[00:00:47] God's done in Andrew and Ariel's business.

[00:00:50] And before we do that, we're going to do a quick, quick devotion here.

[00:00:54] Something that just got laid on my heart this past week.

[00:00:58] And it was talking about equipping and in Ephesians four, I first 11,

[00:01:04] and he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the

[00:01:07] shepherds and teachers to equip the saints for the work of ministry

[00:01:10] for building up the body of Christ.

[00:01:13] And I look at, you know, in the business world, a lot of what we do as

[00:01:19] business owners with employees is equip.

[00:01:20] I mean, that's kind of our job, right?

[00:01:22] We are our employees need the tools and the resources to get the jobs done

[00:01:28] that we need, but when we look at leaders in the business world, and

[00:01:31] we talked about this with Chris Weeks, pastor Chris Weeks on episode four,

[00:01:35] I think it was, and we're talking about how a lot of business owners

[00:01:40] become leaders in the church as well, because they're that entrepreneurial,

[00:01:42] that starter, that leader kind of mindset.

[00:01:46] And really a large part of the job of the church is to equip the

[00:01:51] saints that's to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building

[00:01:56] up the body of Christ.

[00:01:57] And then verse 13, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and

[00:02:01] of the knowledge of the son of God to mature manhood.

[00:02:05] And then it says to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.

[00:02:10] And what really struck me is if we are reaching for the measure of

[00:02:19] stature of the fullness of Christ, that's not something that the saints are going

[00:02:24] to accomplish in this life.

[00:02:26] We cannot reach the fullness of Christ and Christ likeness in this life, which

[00:02:32] means this job is never done.

[00:02:36] The work of equipping the saints for ministry is never done, which

[00:02:41] means we don't retire from it.

[00:02:43] And so, you know, yes, we can retire from like a vocation, like a pastor should

[00:02:49] retire.

[00:02:49] I mean, that's a heavy burden, but he never should retire from equipping

[00:02:53] the saints as a leader, whether that is discipleship and mentorship of

[00:02:57] the next generation or whether that is sitting in his nursing home

[00:03:01] bed, praying for the saints.

[00:03:03] I mean, what a huge equipping of the saints to pray for them.

[00:03:06] Right?

[00:03:07] And so I'm just looking here and I'm seeing, yes, we can retire from

[00:03:11] business and we can retire from vocational ministry.

[00:03:14] But I think that in verse 13, that stature of the fullness of Christ that

[00:03:20] is never going to happen in this life means we don't get to retire.

[00:03:25] And maybe get to retire is not the right word.

[00:03:28] It's we don't have to retire.

[00:03:31] We don't have to stop equipping the saints as leaders and as the church.

[00:03:37] So it was just a thought process of, you know, you're nearing retirement or

[00:03:40] you're getting on in years and wondering about your effectiveness and

[00:03:45] hang in there because the saints have not reached the fullness, the measure

[00:03:49] of the fullness of Christ.

[00:03:51] And you will until you are gone, have some way to equip the saints even at

[00:03:59] the very least through silent prayer.

[00:04:01] So anyway, so jumping into business, we left off, you guys were in

[00:04:05] Colorado, were purchasing a house site unseen and headed this way and got

[00:04:11] orchestrated some things within that.

[00:04:13] And that was really cool.

[00:04:14] And so now you sign the dotted line and you move to Michigan with no job.

[00:04:22] Right?

[00:04:23] Neither of you had a job.

[00:04:24] So yeah, we didn't have a job.

[00:04:27] We owned the house for about a week.

[00:04:29] You know, we had a closing date and stuff, but our offer got accepted

[00:04:32] and we had a house in Colorado and a house in Michigan that we had never seen.

[00:04:37] And we really couldn't afford both, but we felt God calling us to, you know,

[00:04:41] hey, open and close the doors.

[00:04:42] And he opened it.

[00:04:44] We kept pressing forward in faith and it went through.

[00:04:47] So we felt at peace on one end and me financial guy on the other end was

[00:04:53] like, this is scary because like somewhat, if I talked to my unbelieving

[00:04:58] business friends, they would probably say what I did was really foolish because

[00:05:02] I can't afford what I'm doing.

[00:05:03] You know, I bought a house that I've never seen and how are you going

[00:05:07] to swing both of them?

[00:05:07] And it's like, well, I'm not really like, so, so it was just like,

[00:05:11] well, let's find another job.

[00:05:13] So then, you know, where we left off was, so we had made that my

[00:05:17] company knew about it.

[00:05:19] Um, they had a meeting about transferring me to Michigan and said,

[00:05:24] we just don't have anything.

[00:05:25] Like we totally fine if you step away and take something else.

[00:05:27] If you're moving home for family, but we don't have anything for you.

[00:05:30] So that day was kind of heavy because it's like, Ooh, I was really kind

[00:05:33] of hoping that they'll transfer me and I'll have a job here and that'll be

[00:05:37] that, but it didn't happen.

[00:05:39] So that was on like a Monday.

[00:05:41] And then, um, I got a call that Friday.

[00:05:43] So this just a few days later from another coworker and said, Hey,

[00:05:49] I heard you bought a house in Michigan.

[00:05:50] Like, this is pretty serious then.

[00:05:51] I said, yeah.

[00:05:52] He said, where's your house?

[00:05:54] This is pretty serious then.

[00:05:55] Oh, yeah.

[00:05:57] We're a little committed.

[00:05:58] We're beyond serious.

[00:05:59] Yeah.

[00:06:00] So he's like, where is it close to Muskegon?

[00:06:02] I'm like, yeah, it's like 30 minutes away.

[00:06:05] Why?

[00:06:06] He said, well, have you heard about Tom with his name?

[00:06:09] And I said, no, what's up with Tom?

[00:06:10] So Michigan had five outside sales reps.

[00:06:13] Tom was one of them.

[00:06:14] And he said, well, he's really sick.

[00:06:16] I said, Oh, what?

[00:06:17] What?

[00:06:18] Tom's 52 years old, you know, decently healthy guy.

[00:06:21] And, um, I said with what?

[00:06:24] And he said he COVID.

[00:06:25] And I was like, Oh, well, he'll be fine.

[00:06:27] You know?

[00:06:27] And he's like, no dude, it looks pretty bad.

[00:06:29] He's in the hospital.

[00:06:29] He's on a vent.

[00:06:31] So he, when we over the weekend, he didn't feel good Tuesday.

[00:06:35] He went into the hospital and so we're talking on Friday and he's on a vent.

[00:06:40] And so I told Darryl like, all right, we just got to pray for this guy.

[00:06:45] And we can't think about what it means if he doesn't go back to work

[00:06:49] and we get that job, we just have to pray for Tom to pull through.

[00:06:53] Cause he has a kid in college, a high schooler just graduating.

[00:06:57] It's 52, like he's married, like we got to pray for Tom.

[00:07:02] So we start doing that.

[00:07:04] And then I get a call on Monday that he passed on Sunday.

[00:07:07] So from in one week, he was working and fine.

[00:07:11] And then the weekend, he died one week of time.

[00:07:15] And so, and he was, he was a rep doing the same thing you were doing.

[00:07:18] Yeah.

[00:07:19] Michigan was full.

[00:07:19] There was no job openings.

[00:07:21] And then Tom got sick and then a week later it passed away.

[00:07:24] And then they called me and said, well, we need you.

[00:07:26] And it's in the, you know, the other thing is it's in the

[00:07:29] exact spot where we live.

[00:07:31] Right.

[00:07:31] Like what?

[00:07:32] And it wasn't like, Hey, we got the Detroit area opened up or whatever.

[00:07:37] It was, Hey, 30 minutes from your house is the hub.

[00:07:40] And so you walk in the door with some contacts here.

[00:07:45] And so in a year and a half of praying, you know, feeling led to move home.

[00:07:51] And then kind of everything, the material going up our house being

[00:07:54] unbuildable, but then finding this house and then having no job.

[00:07:58] God provided a house and a job in a week.

[00:08:00] Wow.

[00:08:01] And you know, so really it's kind of like, you can look at.

[00:08:05] And the storm we're in now, which my devotion makes no sense until

[00:08:08] I talk about that is, um, you can look at and be pretty worried, right?

[00:08:14] Because from Andrew's perspective, from my view and Ariel's things

[00:08:19] weren't, our plan was, wasn't really working, but we felt led to do our plan.

[00:08:24] But the details of it weren't working, but the whole time God was working.

[00:08:28] We just didn't see it.

[00:08:30] God was building our house.

[00:08:31] You know, our house was being built.

[00:08:33] Right.

[00:08:33] Just didn't know it existed.

[00:08:34] Right.

[00:08:35] You know?

[00:08:35] So it's kind of a big life lesson for storms to come is man, it can be

[00:08:42] hard and you can go, I don't know what God's doing, but then you can

[00:08:45] look at your past and see what he's done and go remember that.

[00:08:49] Like remember the past of a year and a half of not knowing and, you know, having

[00:08:55] some frustrating times and crying out in prayer of like what's going on.

[00:08:59] And then God can flip a switch one day.

[00:09:02] All of a sudden.

[00:09:03] And it's, it's in his timing too.

[00:09:05] Absolutely.

[00:09:05] You didn't need that job until Monday.

[00:09:08] Yeah.

[00:09:08] You didn't need it.

[00:09:09] You were still, cause you were still in Colorado at that time.

[00:09:12] Correct.

[00:09:13] And they basically said on Sunday, we need you tomorrow.

[00:09:16] And so you jumped on a plane and flew quotes home, listed your house in Colorado.

[00:09:22] That sold.

[00:09:23] Well, we rented.

[00:09:24] So toward the end there, we were running.

[00:09:26] And so we just were able to, and it stepped out pretty evenly too.

[00:09:30] Like our lease.

[00:09:31] It was really good timing because it was close to the end of the school year.

[00:09:35] So we had enough time to get our house kind of situated, get the boys

[00:09:40] out of school and moved them and some of our stuff to Michigan.

[00:09:43] Went back to tie up loose ends and get the house ready to, for the next renter.

[00:09:48] Yeah.

[00:09:48] All right.

[00:09:49] So it's just amazing how God, and he stretches you and grows you.

[00:09:52] Right.

[00:09:53] Cause you're through that process.

[00:09:54] Cause you're like, what are we going to do?

[00:09:55] You're nail biting and he's just sitting there like, I got this.

[00:09:58] No, I really got no, like, like I really know.

[00:10:02] I really got this Andrew and Ariel.

[00:10:04] Like, no, okay guys, fine.

[00:10:06] You worry away.

[00:10:07] I'll take care of it on Monday.

[00:10:09] Right.

[00:10:09] Um, so no, that that's, that's good.

[00:10:11] So doing the same thing, and then all of a sudden this opportunity

[00:10:15] presents itself with right way.

[00:10:16] So what did, let's kind of jump forward a little bit here.

[00:10:20] What, what, uh,

[00:10:21] so, you know, we're working in Michigan.

[00:10:24] Um, my company shortly after we moved the one I'm serving as a sales rep

[00:10:28] for, for 13 years gets bought by a private equity group and they're

[00:10:34] going to sink the ship is all the people above me, the ex owner and all

[00:10:39] that saying, don't panic, but get something else going.

[00:10:42] So, you know, with that we started looking and I was looking for some

[00:10:48] small business, like a car wash or storage, something that I could still

[00:10:52] do my sales gig, but then dip my toe into something else, right?

[00:10:57] You know, something that didn't have employees and this and that.

[00:11:00] So then, um, Terry Wright, who goes to our church harvest, Fremont, uh,

[00:11:06] we had attended something called party with the pastors, which is like

[00:11:10] meet the pastors and ask questions about the church and stuff like that.

[00:11:14] So we went to that and I had seen Terry at church.

[00:11:17] She's a Deacon there.

[00:11:18] And, um, after that time he messaged me on Facebook and said, Hey man,

[00:11:23] for some reason, I just feel like I need to get to know you better.

[00:11:26] Like, um, happy, it was my birthday.

[00:11:28] So you message like, Hey, happy birthday.

[00:11:30] Sure.

[00:11:30] Sure.

[00:11:30] Are you from here?

[00:11:31] And so we just start talking.

[00:11:33] What do you do?

[00:11:33] I do this.

[00:11:35] Um, and then I asked him, what does he do?

[00:11:37] And he said, Oh, I own, you know, the solutions business.

[00:11:40] And then I own a Marine business in town here, but I'm really

[00:11:44] praying about selling that.

[00:11:45] So if you know anybody kind of jokingly, right.

[00:11:47] And I'm like, well, we're kind of looking at, you know, buying

[00:11:50] a business like that, you know, like storage.

[00:11:53] So we had started meeting with him in January, and then we had

[00:11:57] kind of gotten a partnership and a buyout thing ironed out by March.

[00:12:02] Um, it was a bigger business than I thought, cause it had employee.

[00:12:05] It wasn't just like storage, you know, idle storage.

[00:12:07] It was like doc installations, takeout detailing.

[00:12:11] It was more to it.

[00:12:12] So that was a little bit like, it's bigger than I kind of want

[00:12:16] to do two things with, but I, I really liked it and Terry was

[00:12:21] really good to deal with through it.

[00:12:22] And it's still good to deal with these.

[00:12:24] And he was involved.

[00:12:25] So it's not like you were jumping in just you, just the two of you.

[00:12:29] So you could, there was some sense of being able to do both.

[00:12:35] Cause it wasn't all on you.

[00:12:37] Yeah, no, it was, and he was, you know, we had sliced the

[00:12:42] deal 10 different ways and I told them like, you can get more money

[00:12:46] and probably better people don't go with us.

[00:12:48] And, but he really cared about the people more than the numbers.

[00:12:54] And he wanted, if he got maximum dollars for it, but then they laid off his guys.

[00:13:00] So he really, the whole time that was the only concern he had in changing

[00:13:04] hands was I just want the guys to be taken care of and I want you to,

[00:13:09] cause that's the ministry is, you know, these employees were,

[00:13:14] um, he was pouring into them and he wanted that to continue.

[00:13:18] Yeah.

[00:13:19] Nobody, nobody is as a, and you know, you look at hires and stuff.

[00:13:25] And I was just talking to Justin the other day, you know, you look

[00:13:28] at hiring people and it's, it's your company has a vision and a core set

[00:13:32] of values and you, I mean, you see your blood, sweat and tears in that.

[00:13:36] And it's even more so than like, okay, I built this house.

[00:13:39] I lived here, you know, 20 years raised my family here and now

[00:13:42] somebody else is buying it and they buy it and they, they,

[00:13:45] the place just gets trashed and it's, you know, and so you have that like,

[00:13:48] well, that was mine, but, but in, in, in business, it's not just a thing.

[00:13:53] It's people, it's lives that are being transformed.

[00:13:56] It's it's marriages that are being put back together, right?

[00:13:59] Right.

[00:14:00] Marriages that are being put back together and, and, and, you know,

[00:14:04] relationships being restored and people getting off.

[00:14:07] I mean, we've had a couple of guys, you know, get off alcohol

[00:14:10] and be able to provide further family stuff.

[00:14:12] And so it's all of this stuff happening and for you to let that

[00:14:17] baby go to someone who doesn't share your core values.

[00:14:22] Like, Hey, what, you know, like he said, more money and losing that

[00:14:28] or less money, but still making sure that the people that I've poured into

[00:14:34] and that God has put in my spiritual circle of influence are still

[00:14:39] taking care of is huge.

[00:14:40] And so to know that you guys, what you were, you know, what you

[00:14:44] had slogged through and what you've been through and what God had done in your

[00:14:47] life was probably really, really comforting for him to be able like, no,

[00:14:50] this, this is, this is good.

[00:14:52] This is a good thing.

[00:14:53] And it's nice that, you know, he's a firm believer and so am I.

[00:14:57] So we can, we really prayed God, if this is your will for this deal to

[00:15:02] go through, um, open the door and if it's not close the door and

[00:15:05] we're okay with that, right?

[00:15:06] Like we, so we having somebody like-minded, you know, and, you

[00:15:11] know, we talk about in marriage, the Bible talks about being evenly yoked.

[00:15:15] You know, there's so many issues if you're not with kids and how are

[00:15:19] you going to get through life?

[00:15:20] I think business is the same.

[00:15:22] Oh, you know what I mean?

[00:15:23] If you're not like-minded in business, it's going to, because

[00:15:27] no matter what it's work, it's work having business partners, different

[00:15:32] people, different personalities, same with marriage, right?

[00:15:35] Like marriage is, you know, sacrificial, right?

[00:15:38] I'm called to do that for Ariel.

[00:15:40] You know, and she's called to do it for me.

[00:15:42] Like, um, I have to love her like Christ loved the church, you know?

[00:15:46] And gave himself up for her.

[00:15:49] Right.

[00:15:49] Yeah.

[00:15:50] But die for.

[00:15:51] Yeah.

[00:15:51] So exactly.

[00:15:52] So with business, I think it's, it's just really important.

[00:15:56] So that's been a sweet thing that we're like-minded and so, you

[00:16:00] know, he kind of wanted to be out of it, but I kind of

[00:16:04] wanted his wisdom in it, you know?

[00:16:07] So we had said like, let's work together for a couple of years.

[00:16:09] Like don't go.

[00:16:11] Right.

[00:16:11] Right.

[00:16:12] And you know, there'll be things it's probably sometimes, oh, just easy

[00:16:15] to clean the sheet and you're the owner and I'm not, but so we

[00:16:19] work together pretty closely.

[00:16:21] Gotcha.

[00:16:22] Um, well you had to learn the business.

[00:16:24] You had to learn, you know, I mean, you knew some management stuff, right?

[00:16:28] Yeah.

[00:16:29] I ran the dealerships.

[00:16:30] You know that business was a $26 million business a year.

[00:16:33] And so you, okay.

[00:16:34] So you can, you know, numbers, that kind of thing.

[00:16:36] You like, you know how to make that, you know-

[00:16:38] We just had to learn about Doc and Lyft.

[00:16:40] Yeah.

[00:16:40] And Lyft, you had to learn the technical skills.

[00:16:42] And I had called on as a sales rep.

[00:16:44] I had been a rep for businesses like right way, you know?

[00:16:47] So I understood, but I think in business, when you think you have

[00:16:50] it all figured out and you can't learn something is the day you

[00:16:54] know you're off, like, so I think to lower your pride and go,

[00:16:59] let's, I don't know everything, you know, let's work.

[00:17:03] Cause I think if you've ran something for five or six years

[00:17:07] and then you sell it, there's so much wisdom in five or six years.

[00:17:11] You know what I mean?

[00:17:12] This doesn't work.

[00:17:13] This, this is where I fell flat on my face.

[00:17:15] This is, and this is where I wasn't sure.

[00:17:18] And I trusted God and man things happened.

[00:17:22] Yeah.

[00:17:22] Yeah, absolutely.

[00:17:24] So you guys, so you came up with some kind of agreement to go

[00:17:28] in half or percentages or something.

[00:17:31] Yep.

[00:17:31] Okay.

[00:17:32] So we are partners, you know, how long ago did you sign paperwork?

[00:17:36] Uh, it was March when we figured out our deal.

[00:17:39] So this is a baby and had a business in the same month at the same time.

[00:17:43] Yeah.

[00:17:44] So that's been fun.

[00:17:45] You guys are gluttonous for punishment.

[00:17:47] That's true too.

[00:17:48] We had a lot of change there of like, all right, let's make this

[00:17:51] commitment for this business.

[00:17:52] And then our daughter Callie was born on March 16th.

[00:17:56] So really it was within, I think even the same week we nailed everything down.

[00:18:01] So we kind of had two things like new baby and new business.

[00:18:05] So we had two kids.

[00:18:06] Yeah.

[00:18:06] You know, exactly.

[00:18:08] Exactly.

[00:18:08] So this was so March of 23.

[00:18:11] Yes.

[00:18:12] Okay.

[00:18:12] So you're starting into year two and March of 23, just coming

[00:18:18] into the season there was like, okay, trial by fire here.

[00:18:23] And yeah, probably quite a bit in those first few months, you know,

[00:18:27] April, May, June, like drinking from a fire hose.

[00:18:30] And then in that time he's still working at Western.

[00:18:33] Yeah.

[00:18:33] So like, were you just kind of like a little bit of this and a little bit

[00:18:36] of this and a little bit back and forth or Tuesday and Thursday I was here

[00:18:40] and Monday, Wednesday, Friday was there.

[00:18:41] I wanted that plan.

[00:18:42] I wanted like five days in a week.

[00:18:44] Let's just do two of them and then two of them, but that never seemed to work.

[00:18:48] And, and when Terry had right way, he also had another business and he

[00:18:53] wanted the same thing, but it never worked for him to like balance out.

[00:18:56] So really I just, I'd start my day out there, get everything going.

[00:19:00] But it is, it's, it was a trial by fire and so many business things are like

[00:19:04] you just start doing it.

[00:19:06] You know, when I was a sales rep, I did seven months of it before I was

[00:19:09] trained to be one, right?

[00:19:11] You know, they send you to new rep training about almost a year into it.

[00:19:14] It's like this, I've been doing this just blind for seven months, but.

[00:19:19] So this was the same way.

[00:19:21] You're just learning a lot.

[00:19:22] Year one, you're learning.

[00:19:23] So Ariel, you're, you're, I mean, you're back home.

[00:19:26] So you had connections and you had people that you knew.

[00:19:28] So you had connections and you had people to hang with.

[00:19:31] You guys had connected at harvest by this time, obviously, cause that's

[00:19:34] where you meet the connection with.

[00:19:35] So you got, so you got people, you got support system around you, et cetera.

[00:19:40] You really, you, you were you working elsewhere at this point or were you.

[00:19:46] Um, I'm mainly a stay at home mom.

[00:19:48] I do have, um, a social media management business that I run.

[00:19:52] So that's what now I do for the business.

[00:19:55] I do for a couple of clients that I have, but it's all remote.

[00:19:58] That I work from anywhere in a short amount of time.

[00:20:02] Okay.

[00:20:02] And so kids are school or your homeschool?

[00:20:05] School.

[00:20:05] Okay.

[00:20:05] Kids are in school.

[00:20:08] Two at school, one at home.

[00:20:09] Yeah.

[00:20:09] Okay.

[00:20:10] And so, so you're kind of doing both.

[00:20:13] So that helps a little bit from the advertising side and helps build some

[00:20:17] opportunity for sales for him.

[00:20:19] Cause you know, you gotta have folks leads coming in, you know, whatever.

[00:20:22] I posted a video and now I've got boat details coming out of my ears.

[00:20:26] Right.

[00:20:26] Exactly.

[00:20:27] Be careful.

[00:20:28] Right.

[00:20:28] Exactly.

[00:20:29] But so for you, Ariel as okay, now he's doing double duty again.

[00:20:36] Right.

[00:20:36] And he's, you know, back previously it was, you know, on the road 10, 12 hours

[00:20:41] a day and you were kind of single mom at home almost.

[00:20:45] And so now we go back into this again.

[00:20:47] Was there a point where you're like, here we go again?

[00:20:49] No, this is not what I wanted.

[00:20:51] I think we, I feel like we had a lot of conversations beforehand of.

[00:20:56] Like you can't be gone all the time.

[00:20:59] And our vision for the business is a family business, and there's two

[00:21:03] different looks of that, like him going to work and we're kind of out

[00:21:07] of it or him going to work and we're going with him and we have friends

[00:21:11] in other States that have businesses where like the husband's up front

[00:21:16] in the shop and the wife's in the back, you know, doing the computer

[00:21:18] work and the kids are back there and they've got their little nursery set up.

[00:21:21] And so that's more of what I've envisioned for right way for us.

[00:21:25] Like we can bring the baby because it is our business.

[00:21:28] The boys can come and work in the summer and, you know, do odd and end things.

[00:21:32] So that's, I think being together and it being so close to home

[00:21:36] and local has really helped.

[00:21:38] Gotcha.

[00:21:39] I mean, we're there more than we're not there.

[00:21:42] So what, what, give me, give me one thing that, that Andrew did early on in the,

[00:21:51] in this kind of busy time and difficulty.

[00:21:56] What, what, what did he do differently that made this so much better than

[00:22:03] the previous huge burden time wise?

[00:22:07] I think just our, our personal relationships with Jesus.

[00:22:11] So that's always number one.

[00:22:13] Right.

[00:22:13] I know that he is reading his Bible in the morning.

[00:22:16] He's listening to it with the boys on the way to school.

[00:22:19] They're praying.

[00:22:20] He has that at the front of his mind and I have that at the

[00:22:24] front of my mind every morning.

[00:22:25] So that individually, you know, we're good, we're solid.

[00:22:30] And then every night we're reading or we're praying together, no matter

[00:22:35] what, like there's always God's always in the middle and that is really.

[00:22:41] Like you could be gone all day, whatever, but then we come home and

[00:22:44] we're praying together and we're keeping God in the center of our

[00:22:47] relationship and that's really something that is just keeping us together.

[00:22:53] So what, so, so what Andrew did, if I'm, if I'm hearing you correctly

[00:22:58] is Andrew almost stepped out of the way of, you know, trying to be everything

[00:23:06] and fixed his eyes on Jesus.

[00:23:08] Maybe I let him get out of the, like, I don't need him in that way.

[00:23:12] Like I'm fulfilled with God and I don't need him to feel like I

[00:23:16] don't need all, all this stuff.

[00:23:17] I don't need all the attention.

[00:23:19] And you could trust that he was going to make decisions in your best

[00:23:23] interests and that he would, you know, his actions, his actions,

[00:23:27] you know, his actions were going to be based on what God wanted for your family.

[00:23:30] And so you could almost rest in the fact that like, okay, this is crazy right now,

[00:23:35] but I know that what he's doing is what God has called him to do.

[00:23:39] And so really I'm, I'm trusting God, not Andrew.

[00:23:42] Yeah.

[00:23:43] And it's still hard, but, you know, he is doing what he's supposed to be

[00:23:48] doing and I know he's doing, he's going to God with everything, every

[00:23:51] little decision that we had to make in that time.

[00:23:53] So you, you see his reliance on God and that number one forces you to also rely

[00:23:59] on God, but number two allows you to rely on God and not try and make that

[00:24:06] direct connection to God to, to satisfy the family, to take care of the family.

[00:24:11] It's okay.

[00:24:12] He's got that he's connected to a source and he's not reliant on his own

[00:24:16] stuff and I think that's huge too.

[00:24:19] You know, a lot of wives, uh, you know, I mean,

[00:24:23] God created that order of man, you know, providing right.

[00:24:27] And I believe in says if a man does not provide for his family, he's left

[00:24:30] the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

[00:24:32] Right.

[00:24:33] And so that's a huge, you know, Dave Ramsey talks about the woman

[00:24:37] having a security gland, right?

[00:24:40] And, and so when, when that, when, when there's an insecurity there, that

[00:24:44] gland just starts shooting out all kinds of hormones and worry and fear

[00:24:49] and anxiety and, and so that was huge to you.

[00:24:53] So for, you know, we always talk about a couple of nuggets for, for new people

[00:24:57] who are new to business, who are Christians or people who are new

[00:25:00] to Christianity, who own a business.

[00:25:02] The it's a big deal that that relying on the spouse in and of their own

[00:25:12] power is scary because they fail.

[00:25:15] Yeah.

[00:25:16] But relying on the spouse's connection to God is not as scary because

[00:25:22] God never fails.

[00:25:24] So I think that's a heavy, that's a heavy thing to take.

[00:25:27] We did our Proverbs 32 early.

[00:25:31] So, okay.

[00:25:32] So you're, you're, you're in, you're in right way now.

[00:25:35] And then that, that job disappeared.

[00:25:39] Yeah.

[00:25:40] What, what happened?

[00:25:41] So the venture capital company came in and just like they said,

[00:25:44] and you, you're like, Hey, we don't need you anymore.

[00:25:47] The stereotype of kind of sometimes what they can do to a

[00:25:50] company is built for a reason.

[00:25:53] You know, the stereotype is earned.

[00:25:56] So it's kind of following that way.

[00:25:58] And so they were just cutting a lot of things, closing warehouses,

[00:26:02] you know, getting rid of brands, getting rid of a lot of personnel,

[00:26:05] a lot of good employees, right?

[00:26:06] People that are really good performers that were hard to get.

[00:26:10] And I remember bringing them on and then just, you know, people

[00:26:14] either taking other opportunities because they can see the writing

[00:26:17] on the wall or whatever.

[00:26:19] So we had, we were really blessed that right way that God sent that.

[00:26:25] Right.

[00:26:26] And so we're doing that, but we're looking at it as an investment.

[00:26:30] We are not taking money from it.

[00:26:32] We are not, we're just trying to grow it because we're hoping

[00:26:35] in a few years, you know, I'm thinking I have maybe two to five left.

[00:26:40] And then at some point in there, if we can get right way to a point,

[00:26:43] we can step out of doing two things and put everything into the one thing.

[00:26:47] Right.

[00:26:47] But yeah, March one this year, I get a call at 10 AM that I'm done.

[00:26:52] Um, with no kind of warning and you know, 51 other guys got the same call that day.

[00:26:58] Wow.

[00:26:58] They have a hundred.

[00:26:59] So of 151 guys, there's like 80 something left.

[00:27:03] Oh wow.

[00:27:03] Um, so a big 20, 30% cut, you know, so, um, so then we're kind

[00:27:10] of like that morning was pretty heavy that, okay, I lost my job.

[00:27:14] This is what we pay our mortgage with our groceries, our, our, our, our, all

[00:27:19] our lives.

[00:27:19] That's how you live.

[00:27:20] That's how we live.

[00:27:21] This is, and we have this business that we're growing and is doing good.

[00:27:25] And we really like the future of it, but it seems pretty hard for it

[00:27:30] to take it all of a sudden right now.

[00:27:33] Right.

[00:27:34] So, you know, you now have more time to pour in and you having that sales

[00:27:41] background and your wife having a, you know, social media business.

[00:27:46] I mean that like you had a way.

[00:27:50] Yes, we had opportunity.

[00:27:51] You had opera.

[00:27:52] That's it.

[00:27:52] You had opportunity there to now you can do something in the business that

[00:27:57] God has gifted you with the ability to do that the business needed.

[00:28:02] Yeah.

[00:28:03] And it could have been that you had spent all your time in just management

[00:28:07] and you went into the business and the business needed sales and your skill was

[00:28:12] management.

[00:28:12] And so, you know, now you're, now you're like really in trouble, but, but God

[00:28:16] moved you into the business in a situation where, Hey, some sales was needed,

[00:28:19] some, some growing the business with bringing in new revenue was needed.

[00:28:22] And Hey, Hey, here's a guy who, who built a, you know, multimillion dollar

[00:28:28] sales territory, uh, you know, and, and had the skillset to do that.

[00:28:33] And now he's like, okay.

[00:28:34] And that was preparing you for what this is now.

[00:28:37] Yeah.

[00:28:37] And I do think that is, you know, how God works.

[00:28:40] He does prepare you for storms and we can see that of how he's prepared us

[00:28:44] with, you know, um, Christian believers all around us.

[00:28:49] We have a nice D group at church.

[00:28:50] We have a core group around us.

[00:28:53] Um, and so God's really given us a lot of people and a lot of support

[00:28:58] and, and family and things like that.

[00:29:00] And even just weird stuff.

[00:29:02] I mean that we had a hail storm, you know, come through November.

[00:29:07] And so we get a check for that and we'll still figure out how that works.

[00:29:10] But we're not at the end of the story where we can tell you how God has

[00:29:15] done it, we're in the middle, but we can see that he's working and we

[00:29:18] can look at our past and see, you know, how faithful he is.

[00:29:22] And so I'm so encouraged with songs and scripture in this season and it

[00:29:27] is absolutely growing us.

[00:29:28] So, you know, right now we are at a point where it's very easy, our flesh to worry.

[00:29:34] And it's very easy for me to grab the wheel and just go, I just need a

[00:29:37] high pain job sales job, I'll be gone, whatever.

[00:29:40] Um, I don't want to struggle, but I want to work the business, you

[00:29:45] know, and I know that that's probably going to be the harder road.

[00:29:48] Um, and a struggle, especially for the next probably two years, but

[00:29:52] that's where I feel called to push.

[00:29:55] And that's obby.

[00:29:56] It is ob.

[00:29:56] I mean, listen to the story, right?

[00:29:59] It is obviously where God wants you.

[00:30:01] Like there is no way on God's green earth where you could be like, well,

[00:30:04] I'm not sure if God wants us to be a part of this business anymore.

[00:30:08] Like I would slap you right now.

[00:30:10] If you were like, we're kind of thinking about maybe getting out of it.

[00:30:12] Yeah.

[00:30:13] I think 10 people would slap everybody listening to this podcast.

[00:30:19] So, so, but it's so important to look back at the story and see,

[00:30:25] because it would be easy for something to pop up, you know, something a little,

[00:30:29] you know, something shiny over here.

[00:30:31] And you'd be like, wow, you know, Hey, this is a sales route and I would

[00:30:34] only need to work, you know, 35, 40 hours a week to generate the income

[00:30:37] that we need to survive.

[00:30:39] You have a smile on your face there.

[00:30:40] Did this happen?

[00:30:41] Yeah.

[00:30:42] Well, like he lost his job, but it's, you know, it's who you know.

[00:30:48] It's not what you're Andrew knows everybody.

[00:30:50] And so we've had opportunities like, Oh, Hey, just calling to say,

[00:30:54] like I see you lost your job at Western.

[00:30:56] There's this opportunity.

[00:30:57] Hey, there's this opportunity.

[00:30:59] Well, we've put in for a few of them and just didn't get them.

[00:31:03] But we're also praying like, Hey, is this the job?

[00:31:06] Is this not the job?

[00:31:07] Like again, close the door, you know, open the door.

[00:31:09] It's going to be really evident if you're not getting a job,

[00:31:12] you're not getting a job.

[00:31:13] Well, yeah.

[00:31:14] And I think in business, you can go, you absolutely, your business will

[00:31:18] have a huge gain as far as if you can put your time into it.

[00:31:23] If you're not spread thin with other stuff.

[00:31:25] Right.

[00:31:26] So if you can really jump two feet in, yeah, there's risk, but also

[00:31:30] there's a ton of reward there.

[00:31:32] If you can focus on it, you know, and not have four jobs or two,

[00:31:37] if you can just go, this is it.

[00:31:39] So we were kind of like, all right, let's push this hard, you know?

[00:31:42] So we're, we're pushing it hard and it is going well.

[00:31:45] Um, but I also go, I can't be.

[00:31:49] You know, too big to go, well, I'm not taking a job.

[00:31:52] Like I'm too big for that.

[00:31:54] Right.

[00:31:54] If I need to do that in the meantime and, and suffer through and run, you

[00:31:59] know, have something that eases right ways, financial pain of, Hey, I found

[00:32:03] this 10 99 gig, it might pay 30 grand a year, that's just going to

[00:32:07] relieve some stress off the business.

[00:32:09] You know?

[00:32:10] Absolutely.

[00:32:11] So we're really just praying for, you know, cause as we haven't looked

[00:32:14] for jobs, but some have come across my desk and it's like, and so I kind

[00:32:20] of go, yeah, okay, cool.

[00:32:21] And I put in and I don't get it.

[00:32:23] And I think, all right, that's fine.

[00:32:25] And then mentally that's a little weird because some of it, your pride can,

[00:32:29] you can go, what do you mean?

[00:32:30] I didn't get like, I'm the guy for that.

[00:32:33] Yeah.

[00:32:33] And, and, but that's God uses storms to teach you things and rough

[00:32:39] seas do what calm waters can't and they grow you right.

[00:32:42] And I don't want to write that down.

[00:32:46] That's going on a YouTube short.

[00:32:49] But, but those, so we're in that and I don't want to waste the waiting and

[00:32:52] see what God has to teach me here because yeah, my flesh, I can be prideful.

[00:32:58] I can be, and ultimately I just want to do God's will.

[00:33:01] And if that means right way with a job for a year on the side to get

[00:33:06] through that rough patch of growth or, or not at all, but I just

[00:33:10] want to be found faithful in it.

[00:33:13] And so really right now we're really leaning on him.

[00:33:16] And it reminds me of our house buying and our marriage and all the other things

[00:33:20] of like, we're really just trying to surrender it to God.

[00:33:23] And some days are harder when you're like, man, I just don't think there's

[00:33:27] money here to pay for our mortgage and different things.

[00:33:31] We need to do something else, but no zero percent of me the whole

[00:33:35] time has wanted to leave the business.

[00:33:37] None of me wants to leave the business.

[00:33:38] Cause obviously God is doing something now in the meantime, I can't be too

[00:33:44] high and mighty to, you know, I need to provide for my family.

[00:33:48] And God knows our needs.

[00:33:49] Waiting tables or milk and cows or whatever it is.

[00:33:52] Yeah.

[00:33:52] If it comes down to that, God would definitely open doors

[00:33:56] for you in that area.

[00:33:57] So far he's shut up.

[00:33:58] He said, Nope, you don't need that job.

[00:33:59] And you don't need that.

[00:34:00] Yeah.

[00:34:00] He shut the doors.

[00:34:01] Yeah, absolutely.

[00:34:02] And that's not bad news because he's shut up.

[00:34:04] You know, we talked a lot with Grant Swinger, Compass

[00:34:08] driving school back early on.

[00:34:10] And we talked about kind of that letting go of the one, the, you know, the nine

[00:34:15] to five to go work in the business and build that.

[00:34:19] And, you know, I'm just remembering some of that conversation of, no,

[00:34:24] you, you can go, you can let go.

[00:34:26] I got you.

[00:34:27] You know, God almost saying, I provided you for you.

[00:34:30] I provided for you in the sales job.

[00:34:33] I provided for you in this job.

[00:34:35] I provided for you in that job.

[00:34:38] So there is no, there's not a situation that you can be in that I

[00:34:43] can't provide for you in.

[00:34:46] If that's milk and cows, then maybe there's overtime available, right?

[00:34:52] Because it's, it's busy or you know, if that's, if that's weight in tables,

[00:34:57] maybe that's bringing a bunch of customers in who just really leave

[00:35:01] super generous tips or, you know, God can provide your needs.

[00:35:07] No matter what avenue it's in.

[00:35:10] And, and so to be willing to do that and be humble enough to take that on.

[00:35:16] Um, cause there is, there's glamor in owning a business, right?

[00:35:20] I mean, my goodness, you got your name on the side of the truck and

[00:35:23] you, not our name, Terry's right.

[00:35:26] Not Murray way.

[00:35:27] Right.

[00:35:28] Um, you know, you're, you're, you're riding down the road in a parade and

[00:35:32] you got a building and you gotta off come to my office and yeah, I mean,

[00:35:36] that can be, that can be a really big, um, kind of an ego boost.

[00:35:42] And so to then walk away from that and say, no, I'm going to go, I'm

[00:35:46] going to go take my name off the door and I'm going to put someone else's

[00:35:49] name on my door and I'm gonna, you know, put someone else's shirt on

[00:35:53] and, and go into that like that's a, that's a big deal if that's what

[00:36:00] God's calling you to it's going to take a lot of humility to make that

[00:36:02] happen, but again, listening to the story, I don't think that's

[00:36:06] what's happening.

[00:36:08] Yeah.

[00:36:08] So we're just really yielding to him, but you're absolutely right in the,

[00:36:12] in the, you know, the fact that it can be an ego boost and I think too,

[00:36:18] you look back and you go, well, yeah, I sold $37 million for, but

[00:36:22] you're like, no, I didn't do anything.

[00:36:24] God sent every penny to us.

[00:36:26] Right.

[00:36:27] Right.

[00:36:27] Right.

[00:36:28] And he can take it away too.

[00:36:29] And both are for his will, for his good perfect will.

[00:36:33] Absolutely.

[00:36:34] And so yeah, we, we see that now and it, when you know the bigger picture

[00:36:41] and then you run the business, like it's God's, it's not ours.

[00:36:45] You know what I mean?

[00:36:45] Right.

[00:36:46] And what's our motive is our motive to bring to ourselves and to look

[00:36:50] at us and like you said, business will give you opportunities

[00:36:53] to be really prideful.

[00:36:54] You know what I mean?

[00:36:55] And it'll give you a lot of opportunities to be greedy.

[00:36:59] So I think you have to have a really close relationship with the Lord

[00:37:03] and have some people in your life that keep you accountable to keep you in

[00:37:07] line because there's just lots of opportunities in business to, to

[00:37:11] really idolize your business and become greedy and all that.

[00:37:17] I think Terry set it up good with it being people-minded,

[00:37:21] like a mission minded.

[00:37:23] I came in from mowing the lawn and one of our employees'

[00:37:26] wife's was in there talking with Andrew, um, just about a

[00:37:29] situation they were in.

[00:37:30] And I hear him like, you know, counseling her of like, this is what I think you

[00:37:35] should do and you, you know, you have to take accountability for something

[00:37:39] you've done and going on and on and just ministering to her through the

[00:37:42] business, which he wouldn't have an opportunity if he was off, you know,

[00:37:46] doing the Western job.

[00:37:47] He could have done it there too, but I walk in on this.

[00:37:49] So how fun is that to see the business that we're working in, but

[00:37:53] also Andrew able to minister to our employees, our employees' families

[00:37:59] and things like that.

[00:38:00] Right.

[00:38:01] Cause what, cause what's, cause what's that worth?

[00:38:03] Right.

[00:38:03] Okay.

[00:38:04] You know, you talk about investing in the business, right?

[00:38:06] Investing your time, investing your money into the business and you

[00:38:10] know, God meeting your needs and buying groceries for you, right?

[00:38:13] We got to eat, right?

[00:38:15] I mean, we got to eat, but do we need a snowmobile?

[00:38:19] Do we need it?

[00:38:20] It's needs not wants.

[00:38:21] Exactly.

[00:38:22] Exactly.

[00:38:22] And, and I am willing to bet that the sense of, um, you know, well done,

[00:38:32] good and faithful servant that you felt after that conversation with

[00:38:35] that woman far outweighed doing 80 miles an hour in the UP on a snowmobile.

[00:38:41] Yeah.

[00:38:42] That feeling.

[00:38:42] Yeah.

[00:38:43] Ministries.

[00:38:43] It's I mean, just to just like, this is what we invested for.

[00:38:48] We didn't invest for the toy.

[00:38:50] Not that you can't have that and not that God can't bless you with that

[00:38:54] and bless you with the kind of income to do that.

[00:38:56] But, but I would be willing to bet 10 years from now, looking back on

[00:39:01] that, you wouldn't trade that for any.

[00:39:04] Yeah.

[00:39:04] That's the bigger one.

[00:39:05] Bigger house or, or, you know, easier life or nicer car or more toys.

[00:39:11] You wouldn't, you wouldn't trade that, trade that for any of that.

[00:39:14] And that's the thing.

[00:39:15] And you guys have talked about it with some other business

[00:39:17] owners in this podcast, but it is like, uh,

[00:39:21] you know, you can do cutthroat business where it's all about the money.

[00:39:27] But that's not, you know, we have opportunity here to pour into

[00:39:31] people and walk with them.

[00:39:33] And sometimes having a 30 minute conversation with an employee

[00:39:37] about kingdom stuff is the best thing you can do with your time.

[00:39:42] And you'll call back the guy and you'll, you'll finish up the paperwork,

[00:39:46] but don't skew your priorities that that's more important.

[00:39:51] We always say, yeah, today was, you know, we did right way Marine work,

[00:39:55] but then we did right way ministries for about two hours, you know, where

[00:39:58] it was like, we stopped and talked about stuff.

[00:40:03] Well, even being here on this podcast, right?

[00:40:05] Like how many things could you be doing right now in your business?

[00:40:08] Right.

[00:40:09] Yeah.

[00:40:09] Right.

[00:40:09] I mean, here we are approaching, we, we on a tight schedule here,

[00:40:12] we are approaching and we're gonna, um, but you know,

[00:40:16] looking down the road, if I came to you and said, Hey, Andrew,

[00:40:21] you give me a thousand dollars and I'll put someone in front of you.

[00:40:24] Who's going to receive Christ today.

[00:40:26] Mm hmm.

[00:40:29] You'd write me the check.

[00:40:29] You'd say, can I do it twice or 10 times?

[00:40:31] Right.

[00:40:32] Yeah.

[00:40:32] Um, and someone's eternity is going to be changed or someone's

[00:40:35] marriage is going to be put, I mean, after what you guys went through

[00:40:37] marriage wise, you know, if, if I could say, Hey, give me, give me,

[00:40:42] give me X amount of dollars.

[00:40:44] And when you're done with this conversation with this person, their

[00:40:48] meet, their life is going to be changed for eternity.

[00:40:51] Like there is no doubt in your mind or any Christian that, that like,

[00:40:56] yes, I would, I would do that.

[00:40:59] But at times we're tempted to take that thousand dollars in a, in a

[00:41:05] profits over people kind of situation or in a, um, limit of relationships

[00:41:09] or stepping away from the business or whatever it is.

[00:41:13] Um, because we don't necessarily, we don't necessarily see that

[00:41:17] other side of it beforehand.

[00:41:21] And so, yeah, absolutely.

[00:41:23] Yeah.

[00:41:24] So, you know, we've, we've talked a lot about kind of your personal

[00:41:28] stories and what God's brought you through.

[00:41:30] And I really think the core, you know, if we were to, if we were

[00:41:32] to put out when, when we put our, uh, description of this, this episode

[00:41:38] on here, I think it's going to be talking about God's, um, how God

[00:41:43] prepares you through your story for what he's got for you.

[00:41:47] And when he done that, you can't walk away from that.

[00:41:52] Um, but the, the other piece that I think is heavy is after you guys

[00:41:59] had gone through so much with your marriage, all of the things that are

[00:42:03] in place now to help prevent that.

[00:42:07] You know, I did ask Ariel, you know, earlier, what, what did he do that?

[00:42:11] But I would say to both of you, what, what do you have in place now that

[00:42:19] causes you to feel confident that the same things will not talk, talk

[00:42:27] to us about, you know, so that somebody could listen to this and be

[00:42:29] like, how do I prevent this from happening as I'm owning a business?

[00:42:31] What, how can, how can you prevent what happened before and

[00:42:35] what have you put in place now?

[00:42:37] I think like communication's huge.

[00:42:39] Talking about things, being safe with each other to say what's in your

[00:42:43] head and communicating that I think number one, it does start with your

[00:42:47] relationship with Christ individually and then putting him in the middle

[00:42:51] of your marriage too, you know, to where you're, you're meeting

[00:42:56] together and going to the Lord together, praying together.

[00:42:59] That's sweet time that you'll never regret taking, you know, and really

[00:43:03] putting action behind your, you know, a lot of people want to do things,

[00:43:08] but if you just really make it a priority and do them and build a

[00:43:12] spiritual discipline and a habit that's huge because Ariel and me, I

[00:43:17] know Ariel is a different person, you know, with Christ and through

[00:43:20] our, through our marriage crisis, that changed us and that changed her.

[00:43:26] You know, I can see it and going forward, we, I don't have any

[00:43:31] old worries because we're, God's renewed us, you know, and we are

[00:43:35] broken, right?

[00:43:35] We're broken people.

[00:43:37] We're sinners saved by grace.

[00:43:38] But I think just a relationship with him and seeking him and being open

[00:43:44] with each other and communicating that has been the big difference is

[00:43:49] just God absolutely restored us and, and, you know, changed us and we

[00:43:54] want to seek him and his will.

[00:43:56] And that's just something we didn't do before.

[00:43:58] Do you think that praying together, spending time in the word together?

[00:44:03] Do you think that that breeds more vulnerability and openness and

[00:44:07] communication and being sharing what's on your heart?

[00:44:10] Yeah, absolutely.

[00:44:11] I think so.

[00:44:11] And all the Christian counseling, you know, I would encourage couples

[00:44:15] to don't wait till it's a dumpster fire to get counseling.

[00:44:19] You know what I mean?

[00:44:20] You don't have to be in full crisis mode to get counseling.

[00:44:24] I think there's so much and Christian counseling, not worldly

[00:44:28] because our hope is in the Lord.

[00:44:30] You know what I mean?

[00:44:30] Um, but I think that teaches you a lot of things of like, we're wired

[00:44:36] differently, like there's five love languages, you know, there's all the

[00:44:39] stuff, um, but yeah, I think just applying those things and applying

[00:44:45] what the word of God calls a husband to be, and, you know, I'm sure

[00:44:48] for Ariel too, what a wife is supposed to be under the Lord and

[00:44:52] parents and just trying to do that here, but you never arrive.

[00:44:55] You will never arrive in marriage.

[00:44:57] It'll be something we work at through our whole life, just like Christianity.

[00:45:01] You know, you, we don't arrive here either.

[00:45:03] It's sanctification through our whole life and you just hope to look back

[00:45:07] and go, I'm growing, you know, I'm not what I once was, but

[00:45:11] I'm not what I want to be.

[00:45:12] I'm just grown.

[00:45:13] Right.

[00:45:14] You know, I think a big thing was like you're bringing sin to life.

[00:45:19] So then you know, and we have people who know in our, in our

[00:45:23] lives and they can check up on us too, like, Hey, maybe, you know,

[00:45:27] say Andrew was gone for a really long time.

[00:45:28] Like, how are you doing Ariel?

[00:45:30] Say I'm gone for a long time.

[00:45:31] How are you doing, Andrew?

[00:45:33] You know, checking in with us.

[00:45:34] So not sweeping it under the rug saying we can do it ourselves,

[00:45:39] but yeah, bringing it to light, having people in like your D groups,

[00:45:42] your small groups and your church, whatever around you that can hold

[00:45:46] you accountable, check in on you and be real with you.

[00:45:49] Right.

[00:45:50] So yeah, cause I think Satan, I think, you know, they say,

[00:45:55] I, what is it?

[00:45:55] Idle hands are the devil's playground.

[00:45:57] I think secrets are his, are his like war room.

[00:46:02] Yeah.

[00:46:02] If he can keep things hidden, there is, he has, it's like,

[00:46:07] he's got so much power.

[00:46:09] They can grow.

[00:46:10] It can grow, it can faster.

[00:46:11] And, and I think that that is a, a huge thing that once things

[00:46:18] are out in the open, there's so much freedom there, but those

[00:46:21] things aren't going to come out in the open unless there's safety.

[00:46:25] In the vulnerable vulnerability that is coming through a mutual

[00:46:30] submission to Christ and a kind of undoing the fig leaves in the garden.

[00:46:35] Right.

[00:46:36] A removal of that shame, et cetera.

[00:46:38] So, well, Andrew you've got to get going back into, into business stuff.

[00:46:44] So, um, um, this, this just been so awesome, so powerful.

[00:46:49] And we're just so thankful for, for what you guys have, um, you

[00:46:52] know, been willing to share, um, with us and, um, a couple of,

[00:46:58] a couple of items here.

[00:46:59] I think, I think we took care of some of that proverbs 32 stuff.

[00:47:01] So, um, some housekeeping, you know, we definitely appreciate you

[00:47:06] listening and there are people that are, are I'm sure blessed by this

[00:47:09] story and a lot of the stories that we've had on the podcast.

[00:47:12] And so we would, we would like you to share that so we can get famous or

[00:47:17] whatever, but we really want this to bless people, we don't want God to waste

[00:47:21] this, and this is an opportunity to share with other people to podcast.

[00:47:25] So, you know, subscribe to the podcast on your chosen form.

[00:47:30] That's going to increase our search rankings when people are looking

[00:47:33] for help, looking for ways to, to, you know, operate business God's way.

[00:47:39] Share it with your friends, throw it on your Facebook page.

[00:47:41] You see some, you see us post an episode, follow our Facebook page.

[00:47:56] Right Way Marine.

[00:47:57] People can check out your Facebook page.

[00:47:59] Is that probably the best way to see what's going on?

[00:48:00] Or you got a website?

[00:48:01] Yeah, Facebook, Right Way, Ariel, you can love those.

[00:48:04] Right Way Marine on Facebook, Right Way Rentals on Facebook.

[00:48:08] And then on Instagram, same thing, Right Way Marine Fremont

[00:48:10] and Right Way Rentals Fremont.

[00:48:13] Yep.

[00:48:14] And we're the website's almost done.

[00:48:16] It'll be RightWayMarine.com.

[00:48:17] Okay.

[00:48:18] Um, we'll make sure we get that link uploaded in the description

[00:48:21] and how to get ahold of them.

[00:48:22] And yeah, summertime's coming.

[00:48:25] Let's get a boat.

[00:48:26] Let's get a boat on the water and, and, uh, let's have some fun and support

[00:48:32] So thank you guys for being on the podcast.

[00:48:34] It has been an absolute pleasure and we are looking forward to maybe in

[00:48:41] three, see what God's been doing.

[00:48:43] So check out part one if you haven't, shame on you.

[00:48:46] Um, and, uh, um, uh, stay tuned.
